Biography
The Bibliotheque Marmottan houses the collection of the Napoleonic historian and collector Paul Marmottan. Marmottan amassed a large collection of records, journals and accounts of the Napoleonic era as well as thousands of engravings. These are installed, alongside his fine collection of paintings and imperial furniture, in his house at Boulogne-Bilancourt in the western suburbs of Paris.
