CONGER, DEAN
Biography
Dean Conger graduated from Casper College in 1948 and worked on the staff of The Denver Post before he was recruited to National Geographic. Until his retirement in 1989, he traveled worldwide with National Geographic on life in-depth missions and worked extensively in the Soviet Union and Asia. Dean also photographed NASAs space early manned space programs, including the recovery of Alan Shepard at sea after Americas inaugural manned space flight.
