Bridgeman Artist

Arsenault, David

Biography

David Arsenault is a fine artist who lived virtually all his life in New York. He recalls first being inspired by art when he came across a reproduction of Edward Hopper’s 1940 painting 'Gas' in a school library book. Little did he know that 20 years later, he would himself attempt to express on canvas what words could not convey. The Wall Street Journal was quoted as saying that 'Some of Mr. Arsenault's paintings could pass for works by Edward Hopper—just at a thousandth of the price.' He studied graphic design at Sage College and painting at the University at Albany, both in New York. David relocated to the historic seaside town of Rockport, Massachusetts in November 2014, and opened The Art of David Arsenault gallery—his first—in March 2015. His oil paintings, giclée prints, and fine art reproductions are found in private and corporate collections across the United States and in many countries around the world.
