FLEMING-WYFOLD ART FOUNDATION
Biography
The Fleming Collection was sold to The Fleming-Wyfold Foundation in April 2000, a new charitable foundation endowed by the Fleming Family. This collection of Scottish art was established in 1968 and now housing almost 1,000 oils, watercolours and drawings dating from the 1800s to the present day. The collection had previously been hung on the walls of the Flemings Bank both in London and abroad. The collection has gained an international reputation and many works have been exhibited both here and abroad in museums and galleries. Public access to the bank was limited and by creating a charitable trust with gallery space it is hoped the public will be able to view more readily.
