The photographer Marion Kalter describes herself as a 'French American Austrian'. Born in Salzburg, Kalter studied painting and art history in the United States and France before she began to work with photography. In addition to her own work as an artist, Kalter has worked as a journalist and translator, opportunities which allowed her to take her fabulous portraits of personalities from the art world. She lives and works in Paris and Chabenet, France.
