Swann Galleries is a New York based auction house that specialises in antique and rare works on paper as well as books, manuscripts, maps, photographs and vintage posters. Swann Galleries' Bridgeman image collection contains photographs of American Civil War heroes and Chicago gangsters, Art Deco posters and frontispieces from rare editions, some that date from as early as the 16th century. Other highlights include a Wassily Kandinsky postcard advertising a 1923 Bauhaus exhibition and a letter written by Charles Dickens to Sir Martin Archer Shee.
