Biography
Established in Paris in 1935 by Robert Cohen, 'L’Agence d’illustration pour la presse,' which is now more commonly recognised as the AGIP picture agency, temporarily ceased operations during the Nazi occupation. However, it later recommenced its activities. With a vast archive of over 3,000,000 images, the collection from AGIP encompasses a comprehensive documentation of significant events, notable personalities including artists, writers, and celebrities in France. Bridgeman Images is the exclusive licensor of AGIP, making these historical visuals accessible for licensing purposes.
