FAIRFORD PARISH CHURCH

Biography

The parish church of St. Mary’s in Fairford, Gloucestershire is most famous for its recently restored 28 medieval stained glass windows; the most complete set in the country. Edmund Tame, son of the wealthy wool merchant John Tame who was the original patron of the church, commissioned the windows about 1500 and they tell the story of the bible from Adam and Eve to the Last Judgement.
