FONDS GLÉNAT POUR LE PATRIMOINE ET LA CRÉATION

Biography

The 'Fonds Glénat pour le patrimoine et la création', established in February 2013 in Grenoble, aims to promote and disseminate various forms of creative expression. Governed by a board of directors and presided over by Jacques Glénat, its primary goal is to support cultural activities of general interest, primarily within the Sainte-Cécile Convent. This support includes organizing cultural and artistic events (exhibitions, concerts, lectures, charity dinners), educational and outreach activities, and other related operations. In 2017, the Glénat Fund for Heritage and Creation acquired a collection of 72 Rembrandt engravings, which were showcased in their entirety in Grenoble from October 19, 2017, to January 6, 2018. In April 2019, the Rembrandt Cabinet was opened to the public, although only a partial display of the collection was possible due to the need for preventive conservation of paper-based artworks. Visitors can explore the masterful work of Rembrandt through a critical and educational approach.
