MAURO RANZANI (IMAGINART)
Biography
Mauro Ranzani is a professional who has specialised in the photography of art since 1986. Starting as a student at the IED Istituto Europeo di Design in 1981, Ranzani progressed to become an assistant aiding the students in the fields of still-life, beauty, fashion and industrial photography, working with Giovanni Gastel and Roberto Barbieri. He has also taught photography to students on degree courses in building engineering and restoration in Pavia. Through his passion for his work, as well as the experience accumulated over the years through the documentation of the major monuments and works of art (paintings, sculptures and paintings), Ranzani is able to offer the highest quality photography. With his equipment Ranzani has been able to solve the major problems related to this profession. He uses a sophisticated lighting system: 24,000 W of flash light and 20,000 W of continuous light. The Art-Light lamps which he himself invented are available for sale to help solve problems relating to this sector. His main clients are: Italian and foreign publishing houses, museums, foundations, associations and art galleries, as well as municipalities, universities, banks, superintendencies, collectors, restorers, architects and private individuals. Ranzani has taken more than one million art photographs and, with three hundred prestigious printed books, he has received awards in photographic competitions and has participated in multiple exhibitions. Known and respected in central-northern Italy, he continues to provide us with precious and unique material for our archive.
