ST PAUL'S CATHEDRAL LIBRARY
Biography
The dome of St Paul’s Cathedral is an icon on London’s skyline. Behind the south-west tower of Sir Christopher Wren’s imposing building is the chamber that Wren designed specifically to house the St Paul’s Cathedral Library. Included in the library’s collection are an indulgence granted by the Bishop of London around 1120 records of the contents of the library, from as early as the 13th century and original plans and drawings for the building in which it is housed.
