Born in Montreal, Canada, Francine Blake majored in Classical Studies at college and studied Fine Art at l’Ecole des Beaux Arts de Montreal. She moved to England on a student’s grant at the end of the sixties. She has always sought knowledge, and spent years studying ancient wisdom in a school of self-development brought to the West in 1917 by George Ivanovitch Gurdjieff.
