'A photographer and journalist since 1985, I have lived and worked in India, Turkey and Madagascar, but have been based in Aix-en-Provence, southern France, since 1999. My current photographic interests include editorial, travel and documentary photography, architecture and interiors, and environmental and wildlife images. I have published several books including 'Monasteries of Greece', described by Reference Reviews as 'one of the year's top titles', and 'Splendors of the Bosphorus: Houses and Palaces of Istanbul', which I wrote and co-photographed. The New York Times declared the book 'a revelation and delight...the research and architectural knowledge are excellent...a fine addition to the literature of one of the greatest cities in the world.' My photographs and illustrated features have appeared in over a thousand magazines, newspapers, books, exhibitions and CDs in some thirty countries. I syndicated feature articles through Rex Features of London from the late 1980s onwards and I wrote and photographed regularly for the Geographical Magazine for over twenty years.'
