Biography
The paintings of Nigerian artist, Bayo Iribhogbe, portray the diversity within African culture and identity; from images of colourful dance and ritual to the stark realities of drought and starvation. He is now based in The Bronx, New York. ‘The palette knife helps me to manipulate colors intuitively and to form a sense of spiritual liveliness which tends to intensify as one keeps a steady look at the total picture. My choice of colors is generally affected by my mood.’
