NOVARRO, EDDY

Biography

Born around 1925 in Bucharest, Romania, Eddy Novarro was a photographer and art collector who produced an exceptional archive of portrait photographs of some of the greatest artists of the 20th century. In 1958, when working as a press photographer, Novarro documented the Brazilian pavilion at the EXPO in Brussels where he met René Magritte who introduced him to the major players in the Paris art world.
