PHOTO JOSSE
Biography
Photo Josse is a family-run business that has become one of Europe's largest producers of high-quality art images. The company was founded in 1968 by Hubert Josse, a photographer who recognised the growing demand for new photographic renderings of artworks for use in publications. The early success of Photo Josse was due to its founder's dedication to managing the entire chain of production for an image, from the photo shoots themselves to the development of the images and the production of prints in black & white and colour. The company's reputation grew as it fulfilled requests from well-known institutions such as the Prado Museum in Madrid, as well as more smaller organisations such as Chartres in France Today, Photo Josse is co-run together by Hubert's son Jean-Louis, and grandson Arnaud, who continue the family legacy of maintaining complete control over the production chain to ensure the quality of the images. The company has also evolved into the digital sphere, harnessing new and sophisticated techniques and equipment to offer an even greater standard of image rendering. Photo Josse remains committed to its goal of offering the best quality service for its customers and participating in the creation of works that result in new images. Bridgeman Images is honoured to be partnering with Photo Josse.
