Biography
Jacqueline Salmon was born in 1943 in Lyon and later settled in Paris. Her journey unfolded between these cities and the tranquil Beaujolais countryside. Initially pursuing interior architecture, her path took an unexpected turn after meeting Pierre Salmon, leading her to delve into contemporary history and literature at the Sorbonne. Simultaneously, she continued interior design studies at the National School of Applied Arts and taught dance. Amidst decor and historical exhibitions, an equestrian accident in 1973 reshaped her life. In its aftermath, Jacqueline embarked on a transformative path, embracing writing and photography alongside longtime friend Jean-Jacques Romagnoli. From working as a bookseller to cultivating literary and artistic endeavors, Jacqueline's story unfolds within an apartment steeped in history, a life shaped by chance encounters and resilient creativity.
