Biography
The State Library of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia was established to collect, preserve and present the history, culture and heritage of New South Wales. The Library is home to a rich collection that includes pictures, portraits, miniatures and watercolours that portray a vivid image of Australian life. The collection includes many records of the experiences of 19th century European settlers, including encounters with the native Aborigines and the unfamiliar flora and fauna.
